Founded in 2015 by CEO Gregg Johnson, Hunters For Youth (HFY) was built on a simple but powerful vision: to give every child the opportunity to learn about hunting and fishing. What started as a passion has grown into a mission-driven organization dedicated to introducing young people to the outdoors in a meaningful and lasting way.

Gregg Johnson’s journey began long before HFY was established. Over the years, he had the privilege of guiding countless young individuals through some of their very first outdoor experiences—whether it was reeling in their first fish or taking their first successful shot in the field. These moments were more than just milestones; they were life-changing experiences filled with excitement, pride, and a deep connection to nature.

It was the look in those young faces—their excitement, enthusiasm, and sense of accomplishment—that inspired the creation of Hunters For Youth. Those unforgettable reactions continue to fuel the organization’s purpose today.

Hunters For Youth is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and educational environment where children from all backgrounds can learn valuable outdoor skills. Beyond hunting and fishing, participants gain confidence, discipline, patience, and a respect for wildlife and conservation.
